HUNTSVILLE — Scott County Mayor Jerried Jeffers and a large number of Scott County officials were among the attendees of 8th Judicial District Attorney General Jared Effler’s Walk For Victims at Huntsville City Park Thursday morning.
The crowd in attendance walked a symbolic lap around the park’s walking track before enjoying lunch provided by Plateau Electric Cooperative.
Mayor Jeffers read a proclamation he signed declaring Victims’ Rights Week in Scott County the week of April 23-29.
Also in attendance at Thursday morning’s event were Sheriff Brian Keeton, General Sessions Judge Scarlett Ellis, Circuit Court Clerk Donnie Phillips, Assessor of Property Tiffany Jeffers, Trustee Rena Erwin, County Attorney John Beaty, and 5th District County Commissioner Robyn McBroom, who represented the Town of Winfield.
