From the Mayor’s Desk
Welcome to Scott County, Tennessee and our website, www.scottcounty.com!
ScottCounty.com is actually just one part of a larger network that will guide you through all that Scott County has to offer. Whether you’re here to live (www.scottcountychamber.com), work (www.scottbusiness.com) or play (www.discoverscott.com), you’ll find information on our network of websites that will help you learn more about what you can do here and how we can help you. Visit our portal to see a complete list of websites to help you learn more about our community.
This network of websites is a result of the collaboration between county partners — from the County Mayor’s Office and the rest of county government to the Scott County Chamber of Commerce, the Industrial Development Board of Scott County, the Scott County School System and others. This broad collaboration allows information to be shared between our websites for an information network that keeps both our residents and our visitors informed and connected.
The three main websites are this website — ScottCounty.com — along with ScottCoBusiness.com and DiscoverScott.com.
ScottCoBusiness.com is a collaborative effort between the Mayor’s Office, the Chamber of Commerce and the Industrial Development Board as a way to expand our online economic development efforts, providing prospective economic and industrial partners with up-to-date information about all things related to doing business in Scott County.
DiscoverScott.com is a collaborative effort between the Mayor’s Office, the Chamber of Commerce and our private businesses who invest in Scott County. Its purpose is to inform visitors of everything we have to offer here — from the beautiful Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area to the west to the Cumberland Mountains of the east.
As I settle into my new role as County Mayor, I am very much looking forward to serving our community and our citizens. It was a tremendous honor to earn the voters’ trust to oversee our proud community. My wife, Mary Ann, and I are eager to help make Scott County better for all over the next four years. My pledge is to serve no special interest groups or place any one group of people on a pedestal above another. I’m here to serve all Scott Countians, and the door of my office is open for all Scott Countians.
As we move forward, I look forward to hearing any suggestions you may have. You may call our office at 423-663-2000, or email me directly at dale.perdue@scottcounty.com. Thank you, and let’s get started!
