Senior Citizens Center

Senior services are offered by the Scott County Senior Citizens Center in Oneida, and by Scott Appalachian Industries in Huntsville.

The Scott County Senior Citizens Center offers meals on Mondays and Wednesdays from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. The cost is $7 for dine-in or carry-out. Meals can be ordered by calling (423) 569-5972. The Senior Center also offers exercise from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The center can also be rented for special events.

Scott Appalachian Industries offers a walking program, puzzles and games, and massage chairs Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. SAI also offers special events for seniors. Call (423) 663-9300 for more information.

Scott County is located on the northern Cumberland Plateau, along the Tennessee-Kentucky border. It is home to the fifth-largest national park in the eastern U.S. (the Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area) and the second-largest tract of public land in Tennessee (the North Cumberland Wildlife Management Area).
