The County Attorney provides legal advice for the County Mayor, County Commissioners, other county officials and branches of county government.

The County Attorney also represents Scott County in lawsuits and reviews contracts, ordinances and resolutions.

Scott County is located on the northern Cumberland Plateau, along the Tennessee-Kentucky border. It is home to the fifth-largest national park in the eastern U.S. (the Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area) and the second-largest tract of public land in Tennessee (the North Cumberland Wildlife Management Area).
