Board of County Commissioners

Scott County’s legislative body is comprised of a 14-member board of commissioners, with two elected representatives of each of the county’s seven civil districts. Commissioners serve four-year terms. The next election of County Commissioners will be August 2030.

The Commission meets on the third Monday of each month at the Scott County Office Building, 2845 Baker Highway in Huntsville. The meetings begin at 5 p.m. and are open to the public. Each meeting includes time for any member of the public who wishes to address the commission.

Commissioners also meet in committees on the first Monday of each month, also at the County Office Building. These meetings also begin at 5 p.m. and are open to the public.
