Scott County is located on the northern Cumberland Plateau, along the Tennessee-Kentucky border. It is home to the fifth-largest national park in the eastern U.S. (the Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area) and the second-largest tract of public land in Tennessee (the North Cumberland Wildlife Management Area).
