The Scott County School System is governed by the Scott County Board of Education. Seven board members represent each civil district of Scott County and are elected by voters of their district to staggering four-year terms. Bill Hall serves as director of the school system.

Seven schools and more than 2,700 students make up the Scott County School System. All of the schools within the system are SACS accredited by the State of Tennessee and are deemed in good standing by the Department of Education in accordance with federal No Child Left Behind Act standards.

Fairview Elementary School

Fairview Elementary is a K-8 school serving the Fairview, Straight Fork, Norma, Pioneer, Winona and Annadell communities of Scott County’s First District. The principal is Mr. Scott Cash.
