Oneida Special School District

The Oneida Special School District is governed by the OSSD Board of Education. The five board members are elected by the school district’s voters to staggered four-year terms. The interim director is Kelly Posey Chitwood. Three schools and more than 1,200 students make up the school district. All schools are SACS accredited by the State of Tennessee and deemed in good standing by the Department of Education, in accordance with federal No Child Left Behind Act requirements.

Oneida Elementary School

Oneida Elementary is a K-5 school with a student body of 577. The principal is Mrs. Ashley Billingsley. 100% of the courses at Oneida Elementary are taught by highly-qualified teachers. » School website

Oneida Middle is a 6-8 school with a student body of 281. The principal is Mrs. Salena Mayberry. 100% of the courses at Oneida Middle are taught by highly-qualified teachers. » School website
